Tettegouche State Park

February 2-29, 2024

Melinda Wolff is continually inspired by the outdoors and explores the color, texture, shape and whimsy of the world through her artwork. This collection is a creative approach of oil painting on wood, inspired by nature to bring out the art of nature. Each painting highlights and accentuates the unique features of the wood including live edges, bark, worm holes, and wood grain, all of which guide the brushstrokes.

Environmental concerns are very important for Melinda’s practice as a whole and she strives to use responsibly sourced and reclaimed materials in her work, bringing together her visual content and the material substance of her creations in support of a sustainable nature-friendly approach.
